Birdsong -  There were few poets who did not respond to the tragedy of September 11,
                   2001 with a poem. Birdsong and September (below) were my two
                   contributions to the body of literature that commemorates this day.

Five by the Oregon Trail  My husband's family came to Oregon over the Oregon
                      Trail.   We explored parts of Oregon where this trail came through,
                       where, to this day, wagon tracks can be seen through scrub brush.

Blue Mountains - Another poem to in awe of those who went before us, a
                       poem about gravestones and a family of Chandlers who packed
                       up what they had and left everything behind for Oregon and a
                       better life.
